
Award-winning Journalist, author of The Heartbeat of Iran, and Humanitarian Tara Kangarlou, is an global affairs journalist who has produced, written and reported for NBC, CNN, and Al Jazeera America, and is a frequent contributor for TIME magazine as well as other global news outlets.
She is also the founder of Art of Hope, one of the first nonprofit charities strictly committed to the mental well-being of war-torn refugees and IDPs. She is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University and is the author of the award-winning book The Heartbeat of Iran that for the first time ever captures the heart and soul of the Iranian people living in Iran through their own personal stories.
Tara was born and raised in Iran until her late teens and currently splits her time between the UK and the US.
