The fight took place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The two differ significantly in age experience and weight division: Jake Paul, cruiserweight, aged 27, and Mike Tyson, former heavyweight, aged 58. The fight was broadcast on Netflix and was the first fight to do this, with a remarkable viewing of over 120 million. The YouTuber was victorious with the fight and defeated the former heavyweight champion, lasting eight rounds, winning by unanimous decision. Paul’s response to the fight was, “I wanted to give the fans a show, but I didn't want to hurt someone that didn't need to be hurt." Paul believed that the victory was his to claim since the beginning and considered Tyson’s age to be an aspect to guarantee that win. The fight was not only just between them but also a co-fight between the undisputed super lightweight champion, Katie Taylor, and the featherweight champion, Amanda Serrano.
