The Kenyan doctor, Jaqueline Kitulu has been nominated as the new World Medical
Association President for 2025-2026. She is the first female to have this chair
position in the 50 years of the association. Her other titles are that she is the second
deputy governor of the Kenya Red Cross society and also sat on the boards of; the
Kenya consumer protection advisory committee, where she is the vice chair
coordinating mechanism for global funds. Her medical history is that she has been a
family physician within private practice over the course of 15 years. She has a
Bachelor's Degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Nairobi in Kenya.
The aim of The World Medical Association is to promote cooperation between
organisations and medicine around the world and was founded in 1947. Dr. Kitulu
will represent over 9 million physicians globally 115 national medical associations.
The beginnings of her career started in 1999 as a clinical officer, since then he has
risen to the position of KMA President in 2016 until 2020. We applaud more women
within the STEM industry for gaining more Senior positions and we are looking
forward to seeing what she accomplishes within her new role.
