The designer brand Louis Vuitton has opened a store and café at the London
Heathrow airport terminal 2, becoming the first of its cafès in the UK. The French
fashion house has partnered with Cyril Lignac, an infamous Parisian chef, to open
the quaint café. The new Heathrow store joins Louis Vuitton in hospitality, which
currently has over 20 restaurants, chocolate shops, cafes, and airport lounges
across the world. The new Louis Vuitton Cafe has shaped people's opinions on
airport food and has brought a new ideology of luxury being incorporated into airport
catering. The cafe is only available on a walk-in basis and does not accommodate
takeaway options. The food contained within is a variety of French signature dishes
but also international classics. Such as croque monsieur, lobster rolls, and crab
avocado. The menu is catering to evening and morning dishes so that passengers
are able to purchase food from any time of the day; table service is also available. All
food items, including sweet treats and pastries, are embellished with the iconic Louis
Vuitton symbol of the flower motif, adding that personal touch of luxury.
