Top election official says colleague handed Elon Musk notes to prevent him spreading misinformation

Elon Musk, accused of spreading misinformation and fake news about the election, has had election officials physically intervene during his speeches at campaign rallies by handing him handwritten notes reminding him to not spread misinformation to the public. Previously, Musk has sent out false information about election security and the physical formal procedures of how an American casts their legal vote. In a town hall event in Philadelphia on October 18th, Musk explained to the public they should only be voting in person and on a piece of paper, a procedure not explicitly outlined in any legislation. These redrics of misinformation spread not only via word of mouth but also using the tech moguls media platform X. The platform has failed to do its due diligence and remove election lies posted across X. The Centre for Countering Digital Hate stated that X’s community guidelines have “failed to counter false claims” about the election, and up to 74% of posts about the election are misleading or incorrect. Elon Musk is supposedly one of Trump’s biggest supporters due to business interests. Could Elon Musk be planning to use X as a platform to promote his own political agenda and siding with Donald Trump?
