Katie Taylor claimed her victory yet again, claiming her undisputed lightweight title with her fight against Amanda Serrano. The fight took place in the same location as the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul in the AT&T stadium in Texas. The rematch was a battle, with cuts and blood being poured as the two fighters went head to head. Taylor said to the BBC, “I knew it was an absolute slugfest in there—an absolute war." As a result of her victory, Taylor has successfully defended her IBF, WBA, and WBO titles, her record now being 24 wins and only one defeat. Serrano stated to the BBC that she knew that her victory was going to be slim: “I knew when it went to the judges it was going to be a little shady." The two fighters hugged at the end of the fight and kept the sportsmanship alive even though they both fought like it was their last.
