Kering names new CEOs at Saint Laurent and Balenciaga

Kering has made two changes to the leadership of their companies, Saint Laurent and Balenciaga. The new CEO of Saint Laurent has been appointed to Cedric Charbit. They will both have to report to Francesca Bellettini, the deputy CEO, in which she is in charge of the development of the brand and will now be a representative to the development of all Kering Fashion, involving leather goods and jewellery houses. Charbit has worked for Kering since the year 2012 as a product director and was also the CEO of Balenciaga in the year 2016. He has experience with Kering and is focusing on developing the Parisian House and building on the brand's identity, positioning, and heritage. Let’s see what contributions he will make as the new CEO. Gianfranco Gianangeli has been made the new CEO of Balenciaga. Gianangeli was previously the chief commercial officer of Saint Laurent, and using his skill and experience, he is planning to strengthen and expand the reach and status of the House. Francesca Bellettini commented on the appointing of the new CEO's, stating, “Having had the privilege of knowing and working closely with both Cedric and Gianfranco for many years, I have no doubts they are the best choices," she tells the Professional Jeweller.
