Every year, NYFW attracts over 230,000 visitors, featuring more than 300 shows within a span of 7-9 days.
Typically, New York Fashion Week contributes over $900 million to the city's economy annually and the industry, driven by evolution, will welcome a fresh venue, this upcoming New York Fashion Week, scheduled from Thursday, February 8 to Wednesday, February 14 — a change that has sparked both excitement and debate within the fashion community.
For the first time, the shows will take place at the RXR's Starrett-Lehigh building in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood. This 19-story structure, occupying an entire city block on the west side, is known for its biting winter winds blowing in from the nearby river. However, New York Fashion Week has a history of fluidity in its locations.

Before Fall 2015, NYFW was hosted at the Lincoln Center, sponsored by Mercedes-Benz. Following the takeover by WME/IMG, the main venues shifted to Skylight Clarkson Square and Skylight Moynihan Station, with the former also serving as the primary venue for New York Fashion Week: Men's.
Additionally, Chelsea Piers and Park Avenue Armory have gained popularity as event locations, while other shows are scattered throughout downtown Manhattan. Iconic venues like the Hammerstein Ballroom, chosen for Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2017 show, and the Museum of Modern Art, used for Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2018 show, add further diversity to the event's landscape.
