The Manchester City manager has signed a two-year contract with the city, which will continue to the year 2027, extending his leadership of the team to 11 years. He told Manchester City's website, “I felt I could not leave now. Maybe the four defeats were why." He is determined to lead the team to surface their current level of persistency and wants his team to be successful all the way throughout the season. Since Guardiola joined the team as a manager in 2016, he has won 18 trophies for the club, involving six Premier League titles. He told the BBC, “We have to recover that because right now we don't have it, and that's the target we have to do." His focus is for the club to win more trophies and titles and to continue on their winnings throughout. During his time as manager, he has also led the team to be the second English football team to win the Treble, the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the Champions League all within the same season. Let’s see if Guardiola's goals are becoming a reality and what the next season will look like for Manchester City.
