Music legend and producer Quincy Jones, who grew up in the state of Chicago, which is said to be the home of gospel, blues, and jazz music, passed away on November 3rd at the age of 91. During his career, he worked with fellow music legends such as Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, and Lesley Gore.
He also worked on the films, The Colour Purple and The Wiz. Quincy Jones became an established music superstar through his talent of being a songwriter, arranger, and composer, which has contributed to renowned albums and films in the eras of the 50s, 60s, and early 70s. During his award-winning career, he has acclaimed 29 awards in his legacy; some of the awards include eighteen Grammys and the Kennedy Centre Honours in 2001. He has left an imprint in the music industry and will be remembered for his remarkable talent.
