The decision has been confirmed by the Senate that Jared Isaacman, who does not have any political or government experience, will be the overseer of NASA. Trump states in a post on his Truth social media platform, “Jared will drive NASA’s mission of discovery and inspiration, paving the way for groundbreaking achievements in space science, technology, and exploration.” Issacman is expected by Trump to expand and strengthen the space agency’s strategy and to allow space to be accessible as a commercial service. Although this jeopardises what NASA plans to do with a space launch system rocket, which is an over-budget and too great of a launch. Issacman said in a statement that he is “passionate about America leading the most incredible adventure in human history.” This is the first time that Trump has appointed an administrator for NASA who is a non-politician. Let’s see if Issacman will live up to the expectations put in place by Donald Trump.
