Vanessa Williams is Miranda Priestly in the new The Devil Wears Prada musical.
Vanessa commented that during the show she wanted to channel the film's iconic
dialogue. Williams worked alongside superstar Elton John, to create new music for
the extravagant show. She commented on what working with him was like: “It's
wonderful to make him smile and to make him feel good and happy."
The show played at the Theatre Royal Plymouth from March until August 17th, 2024 and will
come to London’s West End in late October 2024. Choreographed and directed by
the multi-Tony Award-winning West End and Broadway director, Jerry Mitchell.
Mitchell has directed the films Legally Blonde, Pretty Woman the musical, and Kinky
Boots.
